OLC Opinion on Home Confinement After the COVID-19 Emergency

On January 15, 2021, the Department of Justice's Office of Legal Counsel issued an opinion concluding that the CARES Act requires the Federal Bureau of Prisons to reincarcerate certain individuals sent from federal prison to home confinement during the pandemic once the formal state of emergency ends.
