Abigail Higgins is a journalist and editor in Washington, D.C., covering poverty, inequality, labor, and gender for publications including the Washington Post, the Guardian, and the Nation. She’s the co-chair of the Freelance Solidarity Project at The National Writers Union and a volunteer with Empowerment Avenue.
