Anna K. Wood is a doctoral candidate in social work and sociology at the University of Michigan where she is working on a dissertation on the role of violence in masculine socialization and men’s friendships. Specifically, she seeks to uncover ways in which harm-reduction and accountability practices show up in unlikely places–such as historically white fraternities–and interrogates how those practices might intervene in patriarchal power, or sustain it. She lives in Ann Arbor with her partner, son, dog, and (currently) 6 chickens.
