David Carranza

David Carranza was born and raised in Los Angeles and is currently a student at UC Berkeley, pursuing an Interdisciplinary Degree with an emphasis on Financial Education & Real Estate. As a person who has been impacted by the carcel system, David believes in breaking intergenerational cycles of incarceration, violence, poverty, and barriers to higher education. He has experience in assisting nonprofit organizations in establishing the necessary financial systems and strategic planning for sustainable growth and maximizing impact in the communities they serve. David’s hope is to empower communities and change the narrative of how those from “untraditional” backgrounds are perceived.
