Elizabeth Chiarello

Elizabeth Chiarello is an Associate Professor of Sociology at Saint Louis University. Her work centers on how cultural forces such as law, politics, and organizational policy influence decision-making in health care and the criminal legal system, particularly regarding reproductive justice and opioids. She is author of Policing Patients: Treatment and Surveillance on the Frontlines of the Opioid Crisis.
