Raised in Cleveland, Ohio, LaTonya Nicole Goldsby has watched it transform into the multicultural city it is today. For the past five and a half years, she has taken on the role of outspoken activist and community organizer seeking changes to the ways in which local police departments police and interact with the African American communities and communities of color. Through her activism and community organizing, she helped build the Black Lives Matter Cleveland chapter, where she is now the co-founding president. She continues to fight for change through the creation of legislative initiatives and policy recommendations that will  improve the quality of life for residents of Cleveland.
