Shivani Nishar

Shivani Nishar is a MPH candidate at University of California, Berkeley. Previously, she was the
Research Project Director at the Center for Health and Justice Transformation in Providence,
Rhode Island. Her qualitative research focuses on mental health experiences during re-entry and
more broadly, on the consequences of entangled mental health and criminal legal systems. She is
trained in peer mental health crisis response and holds a certification in clinical addiction trauma.
