Alexander X is a 2022 graduate of Emerson College through the Emerson Prison Initiative. Born and raised in Boston, he lived through the trials of poverty and the trauma of violence. Alexander has found solace in the transformative capacity of learning since being sentenced to an extended term in prison in the late 2000s. More of his writing in Inquest can be found here.
