Kristine Guillaume

Kristine Guillaume is a PhD candidate in Black Studies and English at Yale University. Her dissertation examines prison print culture during the Black Arts Movement, focusing primarily on journalism inside. A Rhodes Scholar and a Paul & Daisy Soros Fellow, Kristine has taught for the Yale Prison Education Initiative and currently serves as an advisor to the Carceral Studies Journalism Guild. In 2019, she became the first Black woman president of The Harvard Crimson. Her writing has also appeared in The Atlantic, CBS, and Time Magazine.
